Buffalo Sabres - Pittsburgh Penguins: Buffalo Makes It Two In a Row

 
After suffering through a five game losing streak the Buffalo Sabres made it two wins in a row tonight against the high powered Pittsburgh Penguins. The stage was set for Buffalo in their own arena and coming off a nice Thanksgiving holiday break. The only issue was how could Buffalo contain the likes of Crosby and Malkin. Tyler Kennedy put the Pens ahead 1-0 in the first period. But just 56 seconds later Drew Stafford came from the bowels of obscurity to tie the game at one. Pittsburgh played a nice opening period keeping Buffalo to only shooting shots from both wings and not allowing to much action in front of rookie goaltender John Curry.  uffalo as well played a very solid opening 20 minutes controlling most of the action and keeping extended periods of pressure in the opposing end. The only downside to Buffalo's game through one were penalties. And a couple of the worst kind undisciplined and lazy penalties. Second period started and Buffalo seemed to lose a bit of ... (link)
