The match-up between Memphis and Chicago showcased over 10 first round draft picks and the top two point guards taken in the draft in the last two years, Derrick Rose and Mike Conley, Jr..
Unquestionably, Derrick Rose was the victor.
Rose had 26 points, three assists, and six rebounds to outduel Conley and fellow rookie O.J. Mayo, leading the Bulls to a 96-86 win.
Bulls forward Drew Gooden had 10 points and captured 20 rebounds for his first double-double of the season and Luol Deng and Ben Gordon each chipped in 11 points.
Grizzlies stud Rudy Gay scored 20 points but only scored two in the fourth quarter, as a result of the apparent frustration caused by Deng who shadowed Gay. Mayo added 17 for the 1-2 Memphis Grizzlies.
In the third quarter, ose illustrated his sheer athleticsm, nearly decapitating Darko Milic with 4:24 remaining. Aaron Gray grabbed an offensive rebound off of Sebolosha's missed three pointer and handed the ball off to a soaring Rose who was ...
