Jun. 29, 2009 —The Bulls held a press conference to introduce James Johnson and Taj Gibson, the team’s first round draft picks, on Monday in the Chicago Stadium Club on the Lexus Club Level of the United Center. Bulls fans all over the world were shocked when David Stern announced that the Bulls had taken Taj Gibson with their 26th overall pick. I don't see why the Chicago Bulls, who had their hearts set on ether Tyler Hansbrough or Dejuan Blair, would pass up on an opportunity like this to grab Blair with their 26th pick.
Though Johnson seems like a solid pick, the Bulls will have to find a guard in free agency to either start or back up John Salmons at the two guard position, seeing that the Bulls did not draft in a way that Gordon will be leaving.
Does this show that Gordon will stay?
Also, exactly how does Gibson stack up against Blair? Dejuan Blair, who is missing both of his ACLs, was expected to go in the first round. But, instead, he fell to the second round ...
