Burress fades in Pro Bowl voting

 
The news just keeps getting worse for Plaxico Burress. Now he’s no longer in the top five among NFC receivers in the fans’ Pro Bowl voting. As of last Tuesday (this is a few days old, but I haven’t had a chance to get to it until now), Burress had dropped from fourth among NFC receivers to … something less than fifth (the NFL only releases the top five at each position). And it’s really hard to imagine him getting many more votes now. Meanwhile, other Giants are faring well. Chris Snee now is the leading vote-getter among NFC guards, joining DE Justin Tuck, C Shaun O’Hara and P Jeff Feagles as leaders in the voting at their respective positions. Eli Manning, while second among NFC quarterbacks, is still fourth in the overall voting with 626,261 votes. And several other Giants climbed up the charts.
