Quarterback Chris Simms remains on the Buccaneers' roster but told Tampa-area newspapers that his relationship with Coach Jon Gruden is "totally broken" and cannot be repaired. Simms indicated he has asked the Buccaneers to trade or release him. Simms had his 2006 season ended by a ruptured spleen suffered during a game that required emergency surgery and he spent most of last season on the injured reserve list.
