Calhoun's Creations: UConn Boasts Most All-Stars With 3

The University of Connecticut Huskies boast three NBA All-Stars on the Eastern Conference roster. They are Boston's Ray Allen, Detroit's Richard Hamilton and Washington's Caron Butler.  It is the most NBA All-Stars from the same college program.   Wake Forest with Chris Paul (Wake Forest 2003-2005)  and Tim Duncan (Wake Forest 1993-1997) and North Carolina with Antwan Jamison (North Carolina 1995-1998) and Rasheed Wallace (North Carolina 1993-1995) rank 2nd with two 2008 NBA All-Stars each.  Noticeably absent from this year's All-Star roster is the New Jersey Nets Vince Carter (North Carolina 1995-1998). Caron Butler of the Wasington Wizards (UConn 2000-2002) is having the best season of any former Husky and this year is Butler's 2nd consecutive All-Star appearance.  Butler is a great all-around player averaging 21.4 ppg, 6.8 boards, 4.5 assists and 2.37 steals.   Richard Hamilton (UConn 1996-1999), the only former Husky playing in the game that boasts an NBA ...
