No Islander is under more pressure right now than
former third-string goaltender Yann Danis. In the absence of injured Rick DiPietro and Joey MacDonald, Danis has the thankless job of backstopping the worst team in the NHL, and he has to hang tough until veteran support arrives. His backup at the moment is raw rookie Peter Mannino, who has spent most of his season with Bridgeport.
