Carr, Tyree & Wilkinson not ready to go

 
Neither David Carr, David Tyree nor Gerris Wilkinson are healthy enough to practice when the Giants officially begin their summer workouts tomorrow. Wilkinson, who is in a battle for the starting weakside linebacker job, has soreness in his kneecap that Tom Coughlin said is related to the dislocated kneecap he suffered in camp last year. Carr, who is battling for the backup quarterback job, strained his foot working out last week. Coughlin said the status for both players is “wait and see.” Tyree, of course, is still recovering from offseason surgery on his right knee and, as expected, he was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list. He said today that he is able to run, but only straight ahead and he still experiences some swelling. Newly signed offensive lineman Jonathan Palmer is also unable to practice, due to a quad strain.
