Cavs' Gilbert says LeBron is staying put

Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert believes that LeBron James isn’t going anywhere in two years and that the media, particularly we New Yorkers, need to find a hobby. In an interview with the Associated Press, Gilbert said that speculation that the superstar will leave Cleveland in two years is “an insult to the city.” The AP added that “Gilbert said James has given him no indication that he plans to leave for New York after his contract expires in 2010. He called the talk of his departure nothing more than conjecture from bored sports reporters. “It’s kind of an insult to the city of Cleveland in my opinion - an insult to the Midwest,” said Gilbert. It is no secret that the Knicks and Nets are clearing cap space in order to make a run at James in two years.
