Cavs-Nets: New Jersey Shows LeBron They Aren't Worth His Time

 
On Tuesday night, I received great assurance from the New Jersey Nets why I was right not to have not visited the Izod Center in almost two years. In fact, they reminded me on why I have practically given up on the NBA altogether. Coming off back-to-back wins against the Atlanta Hawks, the Nets welcomed LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers back to where they clinched the Eastern Conference Championship in 2007. While seeing the now no-name Nets live is long past appealing to me, I simply couldn't pass up $3 tickets to witness one of the best athletes in the world. The first trip of the season for the Cavs to the New York Metropolitan area resulted in a media and fan frenzy over when James will become a free agent in 2011, and whether he will be swayed to this side of the country. The game was sponsored by Toys 'R' Us, and dubbed "Kids Night"—which resulted in children doing the starting line-ups, the cheerleading, and anything else you can throw on the court.
