Everyone saw the forearm shiver that Howard laid on a Sixers player the other night. Everyone could also assume he was going to get a one game suspension.
The question is why? Yes it was a blatant cheap shot by Howard, which he later apologized for and accepted the game suspension as his punishment.
However on the other hand everyone saw the cheap shot that Rajon Rondo delivered to Brad Miller with on the last play of the game in Game 5. Rondo, a six foot guard with long arms against a nearly seven footer in Miller. Miller drives the lane and is a good two steps in front of Rondo. Miller extends the ball for the lay up which at the time was two or three feet from Rondos reach.
However Rondo struck Miller clearly in the face and was only given a normal foul. Had the refs done their job correctly, they would have given Rondo a flagrant 1 foul, which is two shots and the ball. I think the outcome of that games goes in Chicago's favor.
