Dolphins 25, Bills 16
Chad Pennington had another terrific game, this time against a divisional opponent in the Buffalo Bills. Pennington threw for 314 yards and one touchdown, to Anthony Fasano in the first quarter. Additionally, Pennington protected the football and did not throw an interception.
Ricky Williams also ran for one score and 16 yards on the ground. Ronnie Brown led the team with 43 rushing yards.
The Dolphins defense, led by Joey Porter, and special teams showed up as well. They forced Trent into throwing a pass right into the hands of Will Allen, a mistake that Edwards would have wanted back.
Dan Carpenter helped sure up the special teams by making three of four field goal attempts.
Edwards did not have a great game. He never threw a touchdown, with the Bills' only score coming on a Marshawn Lynch run. Lynch had 61 total yards on the ground. Edwards found his go-to-guy in Lee Evans, who accounted for 116 of Edwards’ 227 passing yards.
