Chelsea's 86 Unbeaten Record ... Gone !!
Well, who would have guessed it... Chelsea's run of 86 unbeaten games on home soil has been ripped to shreds by the "Mighty Reds" or the "Comeback Kings."
As Liverpool and Chelsea started the game on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, they were both joint top of the Premier League with 20 points each, with Chelsea being in front by a plus nine goal difference on the Reds.
Chelsea nearly scored their first goal in the match between the top two as early as the third minute, when Xabi Alonso slipped allowing Chelsea to break through, but thankfully Jamie Carragher was there to strike the ball to safety.
Seven minutes later Alonso's next tribute to the Reds was, of course, the only goal scored of the game. Liverpool had many chances throughout the two halves to double their lead, including another Alonso strike to be denied by the paint work on the post.
At the end of the 90 minutes, yes it is true, Liverpool have moved to the top of the English Premier League, leaving Chelsea 3 points behind ...
