Chicago Blackhawks 4, Colorado Avalanche 3

 
Do the Blackhawks ever make you feel like you're playing solitaire on a cold, rainy day, wrapped up in a warm blanket, drinking hot tea, and listening to Joni Mitchell's "Blue?" No? Me neither. I would never know how that experience feels. What I'm saying is that if I ever DID take the time to go through the above experience, I'm sure it would result in the same heartiness and warmth that came from tonight's Chicago Blackhawks victory over the Colorado Avalanche. What a great job by tonight's fourth line to bust their rears and keep the Hawks in this game. Ben Eager and Craig Adams were fantastic. Nikolai Khabibulin, returning from a long stint away on injury, was somewhat handcuffed tonight. 18 of 21 isn't great, but he stopped many key chances in the first period. Colorado could have easily been up 4-1 in the second period, but "Nik" made some fabulous stops. Great job to bench Seabrook for a time by Quenneville, as well. He probably should've taken the time to keep Patrick Kane on ... (link)
