Chivas encouraged by improved effort

Though Chivas USA failed to gain the full points from their California rivals, the San Jose Earthquakes, in Saturday's scoreless draw, players and coaches alike were heartened by the improved play of a team that was shellacked by the Houston Dynamo 4-0 in their last game.
