Chris Paul Sets Steals Record But Game Before More Interesting
Last night against the San Antonio Spurs, Chris Paul broke the 22-year-old record for steals in consecutive games. The record was 105 games in a row, but Chris Paul set the record with 106 in a row! Paul had 19 points, 12 assists, and 3 steals in this game. But the talk of the night wasn't this game, but the game before. The Celtics against the Atlanta Hawks. It was a game that was anticipated to be one of the most interesting games of the year. So far it has been. The game ended 88-85, a Celtics’ win that just happened to be their 24th of the year and 16th consecutive. The score was back-and-forth throughout the whole game. The Celtics just pulled away with a couple shots and free throws at the end. Both these games were playoff matchups from last year. They most likely had the most viewers of any two NBA games this year. The best dunk was by Josh Smith with 3:50 left in the forth quarter. He also got fouled on the play. As you can see ESPN, last night was a good night for basketball.
