PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) -- Stewart Cink's fortunes turned quickly in a vicious wind that never went away Saturday, running off three straight birdies for a 2-under 68 in the PODS Championship that likely puts him in the final group for the third time this year.

Bear in mind it’s just a simulated game, so it’s only simulated embarrassment that the world’s best golfer (allegedly) got a base hit off a Hall of Fame-caliber pitcher. Maybe it isn't breaking "Tiger hits a single off Smoltz" news, but it is at least noteworthy. Tiger decided he's going to tee it up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational next week. So, after a few weeks of wondering if the winner is going to be someone you've heard of, you'll be in luck as Tiger will win on Sunday. He will! Don't argue with me.
