Clemson-Alabama: Nike Coming Out with New Clemson Uniforms?

 
There are quite a few rumors that the Clemson Tigers will be wearing something unique when they take the field in Atlanta to play Alabama on August 30.  The most common of these involves new purple helmets with an orange logo on it. If this does occur, there are quite a few uniform combinations that could be used. However, a couple stand out most. Orange or white tops (depending on home or away) with purple pants and black socks and shoes would look great.  Also, purple tops with orange pants and white shoes and socks would look pretty sweet as well. However, there are also rumors that Clemson may go with all purple for the College Gameday appearance, just as they did against Georgia Tech in 2006.  A purple helmet, purple top and purple pants?  That may be going a bit too far in my opinion. Another interesting rumor involves Clemson using black tops or bottoms.  This would be an interesting change, as black and orange together may have too much of a Halloween ... (link)
