Clemson starting offensive guard Barry Humphries will miss at least one game with a knee injury.
The school said Monday that the junior will have surgery this week and miss Saturday's game against The Citadel. How long he remains out won't be known until his surgery is complete.
Humphries hurt his knee in the first half of the ninth-ranked Tigers' 34-10 loss to Alabama.
Clemson coach Tommy Bowden says freshman Mason Cloy will start in Humphries place.
