I guess Lerner could wait till Monday after all!
According to ESPN, the Cleveland Browns fired both Senior VP/General Manager, Phil Savage, and Head Coach Romeo Crennel hours after the Browns' 31-0 defeat in Pittsburgh.
Crennel's firing which has been rumored for weeks shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, considering that his 24-40 record over four years was bad. However, Romeo's tenure will be remembered for the fact he went 0-8 against the hated Pittsburgh Steelers.
Phil Savage who was once thought to be safe, was also let go on Sunday. Savage will be best remembered for his profane e-mail he sent a Browns fan during the Buffalo game and the public spat he had with Browns TE Kellen Winslow.
During Savage's time, the Browns signed veteran free agents such as RB Jamal Lewis, LG Eric Steinbach, and WR Joe Jurivicius. But Savage will also be remembered for the wasted trade of DL Corey Williams and free agent WR Donte Stallworth.

For a team that supposedly couldn't lose, the Steelers nearly sustained the worst possible setback going into the playoffs. The Browns ended a miserable season with an embarrassing loss that may lead to another on Monday, that of Romeo Crennel's job.
