What a J-Bucket
lowpercentage.wordpress.com 12/12/2007 — I’m not one to commiserate with UofL fans after they’ve been screwed over by a coach who cut and run for the NFL, only to return to the NCAA for another team. I’m not really one to use the word “j-bucket” on a family friendly site (ok, who am I kidding, but still…). But after I contemplated using D-Bag in my title, I figured that J-Bucket was a better word to describe Bobby Petrino.
The Answer is.....drumroll please.....Chris Weinke
ninersnation.com 12/12/2007 — I'm not sure if this is anti-climactic or what. The San Francisco 49ers announced Wednesday that they have signed veteran QB Chris Weinke... Weinke, (6-4, 232), spent six seasons with the Carolina Panthers after joining the team as a fourth-round draft pick out of Florida State in 2001. Weinke compiled a 32-3 record during his collegiate career and earned the Heisman Trophy and the Davey ...
Bombshell detonates in Raiderland-Kiffin wanted Arkansas job
mvn.com 12/13/2007 — Today profootballtalk.com reported that Lane Kiffin was “pissed” that Bobby Patrino was hired for the head coaching job at Arkansas. Wow! In his first year, he has brought some respectability to the Raiders that has not been seen since 2002, and rather than seeing it through and being “In” like he stressed to the team, he was ready to bolt for a college job.
ESPN Ranks the NFL Quarterbacks
intentionalfoul.com 12/13/2007 — As we are in the grips of an entertaining NFL season, there are a lot of stories being followed. First and foremost is whether or not the New England Patriots can go undefeated, which is followed closely by the whether or not the Miami Dolphins will finish the season with a perfect record as well: 0-16. Question: If we call a team with no losses “undefeated,” do we call teams ...
Raiders to host Indianapolis Colts
mvn.com 12/13/2007 — On Sunday the defending champion Indianapolis Colts come into Oakland to face the Raiders. The last time a defending champion came into Oakland the Raiders defense obliterated Big Ben and won the game for the Raiders despite an offensive showing that bordered on incompetence. If the Raiders’ defense can get to Peyton Manning and stop Joseph Addai, the Raiders have a good chance.
