Come To Think Of It...DeAngelo Hall: Oakland Raiders' Multi-Million $$ Scapegoat

 
In a very surprising move on Wednesday, the Oakland Raiders cut ties with star cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Hall, who had signed a seven-year, $72 million dollar deal with Oakland shortly after arriving via trade in the offseason, had not been playing well.  But still... "I've never been in a situation where you cut one of the best players," said safety Gibril Wilson , another of the team's offseason acquisitions. "That's strange to me. It's almost like we're throwing in the towel." Interim Raiders coach Tom Cable said he was thinking about even more changes to the starting lineup  Owner Al Davis had given his staff a list of potential players who could be let go, and Hall was the first casualty.  But perhaps not the last. For his efforts, Hall was paid one million dollars per game this year, a total of $8m over the eight games.
