Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard is in trouble again. Allen Iverson threw a charity flag football game and during the national anthem, Howard was overheard saying, "'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black."
So what the hell does being black have to do with celebrating the National Anthem of our country, Josh? Hey, if you don't want to live in this country and continue to make the millions of dollars you do playing a game for a living, that's fine by me. But you have no right to disrespect our country.
Look, controversy is nothing new to this guy. He has admitted smoking marijuana, been caught for speeding and reckless driving in a street racing incident, angered his coach by throwing a birthday party for himself after a playoff loss and opted out of playing for the U.S. Olympic team in 2006.
Howard's idiotic comments about the anthem were captured on a YouTube video.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said the team dealt with the incident when it ...
