Former NHL goalie Dan Cloutier could be set to move across the pond in 2010 after being released from his contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
Cloutier, who has iced for Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Rangers, could move to Britain and the BMI Baby Elite League.
Cloutier's brother Sylvain, a former NHL player himself with the Chicago Blackhawks, took charge of the Hull Stingrays during the summer and has signed a two-year deal as the team's player-coach.
Sylvain looked to his brother Dan before the start of the season for advice when he went to sign a netminder. Dan recommended Swedish stopper Tommy Sandhal, who has turned in some top-notch performances for the Rays since arriving in East Yorkshire.
But Sylvain and Dan have never hidden their desire to play on the same team at least once before either of them retire, and with Sylvain's playing career winding up, the brothers could be on ice together in the 2010-2011 Elite League season.
