Cubs acquire Baker from Rockies

The Cubs, trying to bolster their bench, acquired infielder Jeff Baker from the Colorado Rockies for Minor League pitcher Al Alburquerque on Thursday. To make room on the roster, Ryan Freel was designated for assignment.
