Cubs finish in a Tie!

The Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers played to a 10 all tie. Alfonso Soriano hit a 3-run homer, Ronny Cedeno added another and Micah Hoffpauir homered twice. The Cubs in this game did not want to give away too much to the Brewers who they will playing in their home opener. Cory Bailey got the start and pitched 2 innings allowing 6 earned runs on 5 hits. After, his two innings of work the Cubs then marched out 6 different relief pitchers who combined to give up 3 earned runs and striking out 4. In the game Sean Marshall put in some work but struggled, he pitched 2 innings where he walked 3 and allowed only 1 run to cross the plate. Sean Marshall is the front runner for the left-handed reliever spot, but Lou said that it still might go to Carmen Pignatiello who has pitched great this spring. He has a 0.90 era and has recorded 2 saves this spring. So we will just have to wait and see if Sean Marshall is out of pitching spot or not. [link]
