Curt Schilling: As Overhyped As the Bloody Sock

This is the big deal photo. Curt Schilling may have earned his bona fides as a performer and big-game pitcher with his MVP performance in the 2001 World Series, and even more so when he beat the New York Yankees on one leg in a must-win Game 6 in 2004. But since then...well, let's just say, in my opinion, he's been one of the more overrated pitchers in the Red Sox rotation, at least against the Yankees. A world-class phony. The "bloody sock" is in the Hall of Fame? Based on that, every hockey player who has ever bled should be in the hall. He's done. Over the hill. Washed up. He should turn in his uniform and return every last cent to the Sox. Oh, the humanity! The problem with most athletes is that they are one-trick ponies. When everyone, (excepting himself) recognizes he is past post, he refuses to look at himself in the mirror and admit he is finished. (link)
