New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Doug Marrone is the new football coach at Syracuse.
Marrone is a former captain at Syracuse in the mid-1980s, and the school said Friday he will succeed Greg Robinson. He was fired last month after compiling a 10-37 record in four seasons.
This will be Marrone's first stint as a head coach.
