In just a few short weeks, Tom Cable has gone from unknown to NFL head coach, learning on the fly. Sure, his head coaching stint at downtrodden Idaho has helped prepare him to lead and organize, but let's face it, this is a situation where he really isn't expected to win.
Al Davis has thrown the season as evidenced from recent personnel moves, cutting DeAngelo Hall, etc.
One thing is certain, the Raiders sent a message to Al Davis by laying down to Atlanta 24-0. This was no accident. The players rebelled. To believe otherwise is kidding yourselves.
The fact is, any head coach of the Raiders is seen as a puppet. Lane Kiffin broke the mold a little bit with his rebellion. The players are always going to do what they want to do. For example, most recently, in an act of unhappiness with the waiving of Hall, they showed their feelings by not showing up on the field.
At home no less.
Tom Cable can't be blamed for what happened with the Atlanta game. He should be focusing ...
