Mike D'Antoni has accepted an offer to coach the New York Knicks, according to a media reports. According to ESPN Mike D’Antoni has accepted the coaching position with the New York Knickerbockers. Lucky him? Well not exactly he inherits an organization in disarray. Although, with some draft lottery luck (which would hopefully equal PG D-Rose of Memphis) and D’Antoni’s up-tempo offensive system the Knicks could land in the playoffs as early as next season. Spouting off about their "defensive philosopy" (to paraphrase Mr. T, “You drafted a running team, fool!”), the Bulls decline to make D'Antoni an offer and let the Knicks have him. Get ready for an assistant coach to get promoted on the cheap.
