Daily Haze: Plax < Listerine
Days after accidentially shooting himself in the leg, New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is done for the rest of 2008.
Burress was placed on the non-football injury list by the Giants yesterday. His days in Big Blue are numbered and the Giants may even go after some of the money from the contract he signed last summer. Oh yeah, and he could go to jail.
It has been a disappointing season for Burress but anything but that for the Giants, who seem just as poised and dangerous on offense without Plax in the lineup. Still, the question remains: Can the Giants run the table again without the guy who caught the game-winning touchdown in last year’s Super Bowl?
