Daily Haze: TGIF

Big night tonight. About once a month, a bunch of guys from work get together to play video games and drink. It has turned into an all-out tournament filled with friendly wagers, trash talk, and two pretty significant titles. The two featured games: Tecmo Super Bowl for the original Nintendo and FIFA 09 for PlayStation 3. So far, there have been two FIFA tournaments dominated by one guy. He owns the game and was a soccer player in college, plus he is a pretty big soccer nut (his name is Vince, by the way, of the Vinny’s Old School Songs of the Day on The Hazean’s Facebook page ). I have done well in the FIFA tournament (made the Finals both tournaments), but I live and breathe for the Tecmo tournament. So far I have won four of the six Tecmo tournaments. The crowns came courtesy of the Houston Oilers (twice), Cincinnati Bengals, and Indianapolis Colts. Tonight I go for title No. 5 and three-in-a-row. Wish me luck and enjoy your weekend. Here are today’s great reads:  ... (link)
