Dallas Cowboys Thinking of Releasing Terrell Owens
The Cowboys are finally making smart moves. ESPN’s Ed Werder is reporting that the ‘Boys are thinking of ridding themselves of Terrell Owens. While the Cowboys have other issues that resulted in the demise of their 2008 season, releasing T.O. is a good start.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is partially against the move because it would create serious salary cap woes for the team. But it isn’t so far fetched because of the team’s chemistry problems. Jerry’s son, Stephen, is attempting to convince his dad that in order for the team to move forward, T.O. has to go.
I will say; I have to agree with the younger Jones. The Cowboys fell apart after the Cardinals game and T.O. didn’t help by criticizing his quarterback and offensive coordinator. The team has already freed itself of two headaches by releasing Adam “Pacman” Jones and letting Tank Johnson go to free agency.
