Dallas-Utah: Mavericks, at Least For One Night, Have Proved Critics Wrong

Saturday night against the Utah Jazz, the Mavericks gave something we haven't seen in quite some time, a team effort.  Just when all were starting to doubt them, they give us all something to hope about. Dirk Nowitzki (39 Points) and Jason Terry (22 Points) did their parts as usual, but it was the effort by the other pieces of the puzzle that helped this team overcome a huge second period deficit. Jason Kidd finally looked like the guy we traded for, and Brandon Bass may have been the most impressive player not named Dirk, as he posted his season-high 17 points, to go with his nine rebounds. This was the most impressive showing I have seen in some time for the Mavericks, it was like they smelled blood in the fourth, and just started hammering the Jazz, snapping a four game losing skid with the victory.  If the Mavs can continue to play with this kind of team camaraderie and intensity, this may be a team to reckon with.
