Danilo backs out again

 
What happened to Danilo Gallinari in Vegas could stay with him for a while. The Knicks first-round draft pick missed yesterday’s practice with a sore lower back and was held out of today’s game against San Antonio. In fact, Gallinari will likely skip the team’s final three summer league games. Gallinari, who complained of soreness during his Knicks debut on Monday, had an MRI exam earlier this week. According to the Knicks, the MRI failed to reveal any structural damage. Gallinari will receive treatment for the rest of the week before returning home to Italy. Gallinari scored 14 points on 5-for-11 shooting on Monday against Cleveland. *** I can’t understand why Donnie Walsh would turn down the opportunity to dump Zach Randolph’s contract last week. Instead, Walsh held onto the veteran power forward while the Clippers acquired Marcus Camby for a second-round draft pick.
