Tom Brady suffered a serious knee injury today in the first quarter of the Patriots' game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
A member of the Patriots told ESPN's Trent Dilfer that Matt Cassel was their guy for the rest of the year. Chris Simms and Tim Rattay are reportedly working out with the Pats this coming week, but recently retired Daunte Culpepper has some experience and would be reunited with his former standout wide receiver, the great Randy Moss.
It would cost more money for Culpepper than Simms or Rattay, but in the very winnable AFC East division, Culpepper could easily help put the Pats at least in the playoff hunt.
