In the movie Star Wars Ben Kenobi is called an old fool.
He retorts, "Who's more foolish the fool or the fool that follows him?"
At this point this question maybe asked about the various parties involved with this Dany Heatley gong show. Where is Jamie Farr when you need him to hit that gong.
Heatley and his people needed to really see this for what it is. A chance to escape what they see as a bad situation.
If they just want to stick to the Senators they are playing with career ending fire. You do not generally try and get one back in sports. It burns you.
It burned Lowe with Comrie, it burned MacTavish with Penner, and it burned Alexi Yashin. With the amount of power given to players with no movement or trade deals they are expected to act responsibly.
Seems that Heatley and agents thought they would get a chance to go to one of the big boy teams, instead only a desperate team was going to pay Murray's price. So Edmonton comes in, offers a big ...
