Dany Heatley: The Most Selfish Man in Sports

 
Dany Heatley is the most selfish player in hockey, and maybe all of sports. Weeks after requesting a trade from the Ottawa Senators, Heatley has rejected a trade to the Edmonton Oilers.  So, he still wants to be traded, just not to the Oilers. Heatley has five more years left on his contract with the Senators, with an annual cap hit of $7.5 million. Heatley's contract also has a bonus built in it. At Midnight on July 1, Heatley gets a $4 million bonus. This bonus is the reason the Senators have been making haste in trying to deal Heatley away. It is rumored that if they can't deal the unhappy winger by Midnight tonight, he will be stuck in Ottawa until they find a team willing to pay them back for all their troubles, and then some.  Call me old-school but, Heatley signed a contract. He gave the Senators his word that he will be a Senator for five more years. Now that he has broken that bond, I don't know if I'd want him on my team. Sure he can score. Sure he is still in his ...
