San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has two torn ligaments in his left knee and intends to make a decision soon about whether to undergo surgery. Merriman met with orthopedic specialists this week. The University of Maryland product rejoined the Chargers late in the week and spoke to reporters at a news conference today.
