Delic scratches out win over Moya in L.A.

 
Former NCAA champion Amer Delic reached the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5) victory over seventh-seeded Carlos Moya in the second round of the Countrywide Classic on Thursday. Juan Martin del Potro, a 19-year-old Argentine seeded third, earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Italian qualifier Andrea Stoppini. Marc Gicquel of France beat 19-year-old American Donald Young 6-3, 6-3 in the other day match. (link)
