New York Yankees star short stop Derek Jeter took a pretty good beating from a Daniel Cabrera pitch in tonight’s game. The Baltimore Orioles pitcher lost control of a fastball and it hit Jeter full speed right on his hand. Jeter was in obvious pain after the beaning, and was immediately taken out of the game. During the third inning tonight, John Flaherty and Ken Singleton were having a conversation about Orioles hitting coach Terry Crowley. The Yankees finally looked like a big-league team Wednesday, knocking the Orioles around for an 8-0 win. Their rotation will also be getting a boost now that Joba will start a transition to the rotation, according to Joe Girardi.
