Despite L.A.'s Finals flop, Kobe has staying power

 
This was going to be the season when Kobe Bryant would lead the Lakers to a championship without Shaquille O'Neal. Instead, Bryant was upstaged by Paul Pierce and the comparisons to Michael Jordan never sounded so hollow. (link)
