Devin Hester: Chicago Bears Finally Give Him What He Deserves

I'm glad to report that the Chicago Bears have signed WR/KR Devin Hester to a four-year contract extension worth about $30 million. I knew they would come to terms sooner or later. Does he deserve it? I think so, but we will have to watch him play. Hopefully he will be the type of playmaker that Bernard Berrian was, so Bears fans can stop complaining that we lost him. Berrian asked for way too much money. Now the Bears are set with all of their players. They signed every potential free agent on their roster (Alex Brown, Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Robbie Gould, Tommie Harris), all their draft picks, and now Devin Hester. Jerry Angelo should not be fired. That would be the last thing I would do. Angelo and Hester's agent Eugene Parker came to terms earlier today. Hester must be so happy that he just got his money. Maybe he won't be injured today on the practice field. For the people who didn't know he had a hamstring injury, that's a joke. In fact, many thought he faked the injury so ... (link)
