Right-hander becomes the majors' first six-game winner by giving up only one unearned run over six innings of a 2-1 victory over the Padres.

* Arizona 2, at San Diego 1: Brandon Webb outpitched Jake Peavy in a battle of the last two NL Cy Young Award winners. Webb (6-0), the 2006 Cy Young winner, allowed one unearned run and twice escaped bases-loaded jams before leaving after six innings. Chris Snyder hit a two-out home run in the second after Peavy walked Stephen Drew. Peavy (3-1) gave up four hits in seven innings.
