Daisuke Matsuzaka limited the Astros to two hits in five scoreless innings and the Boston Red Sox won their first-ever regular-season game in Houston, 6-1 on Friday night. J.D. Drew hit a three-run homer and Mike Lowell added a two-run single in the ninth for the Red Sox, who stayed one-half game ahead of Tampa Bay in the AL East.

The last time Daisuke Matsuzaka took the mound for the Boston Red Sox, he was lit up like the christmas tree in Rockerfeller Center. Tonight, he was much better as he threw 5 innings of shutout ball as the Red Sox went on to beat the Houston Astros 6-1 in front of 42,237 at Minute Maid Park.
