DirecTV problems affect Red Sox-A's (AP)

 
Some Red Sox fans who got up early to watch the team's season opener against Oakland ended up seeing nothing at all because of problems at DirecTV. Technical difficulties at DirecTV blanked out NESN, the cable network that carries the Red Sox and ESPN2. A spokesman for El Segundo, Calif.-based DirectTV would not specify what the problem was or how many people were affected. [link]
