Dodgers win with unusual offense

 
In an all-Japanese first, starter Hiroki Kuroda pitched eight innings for the victory and closer Takashi Saito pitched the ninth for the save as the Dodgers completed a series sweep with a 5-2 win over the Reds. [link]

Sheets completes gem against Pirates

Ben Sheets came into his start Wednesday night against the Pirates looking to rebound from his horrible outing against the Dodgers last week. Not only did Sheets rebound, he pitched his second complete game of the season. Sheets struck out six and only a Xavier Nady home run in the fourth inning stopped Sheets from recording his second shutout of the season.
