Good riddance to the Cleveland Indians, who can take their racist, cartoon caps and go home now. I can’t imagine working for an organization that requires such disgraceful garb. Just once, I’d like a free agent to tell that franchise he will only sign with the club if the offending logo is removed. Maybe C.C. Sabathia, in November? Probably not. Yet another annoying development, from that gnat-ish team: David Dellucci’s assertion that Joba Chamberlain was showboating, after the young pitcher spun around and screamed euphorically following the strikeout on Thursday. Dellucci complained about an alleged double standard, saying that batters don’t pump their fists or celebrate while they’re rounding the bases after a home run. “It’s kind of funny how a pitcher can get away with that,” he said.
