Jay Cutler and the Denver Broncos (4-3) have the third best passing offense in the NFL.
If Miami (3-4) wants to win in Denver, then they will have to shut Jay Cutler and his receiving corps down. The Dolphins secondary redeemed themselves last week against the Bills, and hopefully it will carry over into this week against an even better Broncos passing offense.
Cutler is a very good passer at home. His passer rating during home games is 95.4 compared to 85.8 away. He is also very, very good in the first half. His passer rating is 103.6 compared to 80.7 in the second half.
Miami's defense, led by Joey Porter, should pressure Cutler as much as humanly possible, because a good way to stop him is to force turnovers. Cutler has thrown seven interceptions, and fumbled three times, so he definitely turns the ball over.
But, Cutler will come out big in the first half. What the Dolphins' defense needs to do is pressure him as much as possible and not get frustrated if he starts off really well, ...
