Dolphins-Raiders: Miami Barely Defeat Lowly Raiders 17-15

 
Today's game between the Oakland Raiders at the Miami Dolphins started with some expectations, but the Dolphins were not at their best. They almost lost to the Raiders. It appeared that Miami was in possession of the game and the ball from the beginning. The problems began when they started to underestimate their opponent. It's easy to do, considering the plight of the Oakland team, but overconfidence remains a grave error. The Phins committed the same mistake when they lost to the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. It almost cost them again as Miami trailed by one, 15-14, in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. However, a miracle occurred. During these final minutes, Oakland used their last timeout and Miami saw a window of opportunity. The Dolphins used their timeout to attempt a field goal, and Dan Carpenter kicked a 38-yarder to seal the game for Miami.
